• Joliet's Mayor Terry D'Arcy Discusses City's Traffic Woes With Scott Slocum (wjol.com) — Lockport is one of several Will County communities included in a new IL 53 Regional Mobility & Freight Management Study, which aims to reroute heavy truck traffic away from downtowns like Joliet and Lockport. Joliet's mayor and regional leaders are working with IDOT and consultants on long-term fixes, but residents should expect congestion and bridge-related delays to continue for years while solutions are developed.
