2 Killed In Fiery Crash In Rural Will County: Police

PEOTONE TOWNSHIP, IL — Two people died Sunday morning in a three-vehicle crash in rural Peotone Township, according to police.

The incident occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. on westbound Wilmington-Peotone Road at Route 45, police said. One of the vehicles caught fire and two people died at the scene, according to state police, who said another two people were taken to area hospitals with injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
