PEOTONE TOWNSHIP, IL — Two women were killed in a crash involving a semi and passenger vehicle in Peotone Township Friday, the Will County Coroner's Office said Saturday.
The accident took place at the intersection of Wilmington-Peotone and Center roads Friday afternoon. Roads were closed in the area as Will County Sheriff's police investigated.
The victims have been identified as Pamela Cairos, 66, of Orland Hills, and Virginia Hight, 87, of Palos Heights, the coroner's office said.
The Will County Sheriff's Office has not yet released any additional information on the crash as of Saturday afternoon.
