Beams Stolen From Barn In Rural Manhattan

MANHATTAN, IL -- Will County police are investigating two incidents of burglaries to structures in unincorporated Manhattan on consecutive days last week.

Police were called to the 14000 block of West Joliet Road on Sept. 8 for a report of an unknown person entering a barn. A police blotter report indicates 17 concrete beams were reported stolen from the barn.

Two men were seen in the area at the time of the thefts and were driving a gray truck with a trailer. Physical descriptions of the potential suspects were not listed by police.

One day earlier, sheriff's police responded to the 22000 block of South Cedar Road when they learned that someone had entered a shed and stole a ground tiller.

No suspect description was listed in that incident.
