Limited Spots Available For Manhattan Community Garden

The community garden has room for 12 plots and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

MANHATTAN, IL — The Village of Manhattan is putting out a call for residents with green thumbs to join in the Manhattan Community Garden, located behind the Well House at 520 W. North St.

There are 12 plots available, and will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, according to Village Finance Clerk, Kristen Reinke. The Village is time-stamping applications as those come in to make sure those who applied first get dibs on a plot, Reinke said.

The Community Garden was created via a resolution Feb. 1 by the Village of Manhattan Board of Trustees, according to Village documents.
