Manhattan History Museum Displays Historical Irish Exhibit

The museum also has a German Heritage Exhibit on display, as well as a 130-year timeline history of Manhattan.

MANHATTAN, IL — The Manhattan Township Historical Museum will open on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will display a new exhibit about historic Irish families and culture. According to the village, history shows that many of the first scattered settlers around Manhattan were of English descent, however both the Irish and the Germans and their cultures had a huge impact that still resonates today.

The museum also has a German Heritage Exhibit on display, as well as a 130-year timeline history of Manhattan on display along with many artifacts from the past.

Admission to the museum is free and it is located at 255 S. State St.
