Manhattan Man, 18, Charged After Shots Fired From Moving Vehicle: PD
The shots fired incident happened late Tuesday night in the area of Brynn and Brett drives, police said.
MANHATTAN, IL — A Manhattan man was arrested following a shots fired incident late Tuesday night, police said. The man allegedly fired approximately a dozen shots from a moving vehicle, police said.
On June 8, officers were dispatched to the area of Brynn and Brett drives around 10:30 p.m., for a report of shots fired. During the investigation and while speaking with witnesses, officers located 16 spent shell casings in the street.
Through the course of the investigation, police learned that Aiden Valera, 18, fired multiple rounds from a moving vehicle. No one was struck by the gunfire, police said.

Valera was located and arrested, police said. The firearm was also later found at a home in New Lenox.
Valera did not have a valid FOID card, according to police reports. He was charged with felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and reckless discharge of a firearm.

He was processed and released.
