Manhattan Police To Take Polar Plunge

Officers will brave the frigid waters to benefit the Special Olympics.

MANHATTAN, IL — The Manhattan Police Department will be participating in the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Illinois on Saturday, March 10. Under the team name "Subzero Squad," local cops will take the plunge at Leisure Lake, 21900 SW Frontage Road in Joliet. The public is invited to attend and cheer the officers on.

The community can also help support Special Olympics Illinois by making a donation to the Subzero Squad online.

Cash or checks will also be accepted at the Manhattan Police Department, 240 Market Place.Make all checks payable to “Special Olympics Illinois.”
