Museum Hosts Special Presentation

Making the Irish culture come to life in a presentation of historic events.

The Manhattan Township Historical Society will host a special program on Wednesday, March 15th at 6:30 p.m. The History of the April 1916 Easter Rebellion in Ireland will be presented by Michael McHugh, well-known Manhattan resident and businessman. This informative evening will get you in the spirit for St. Patrick’s Day. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Society’s Museum located in Manhattan at 255 S. State Street.

Before or after the presentation view the exhibit of many local Irish families, learn how an Irishman started the town of Manhattan and find out about Irish culture. The important events of Manhattan’s 130 years by decades cans also be viewed.
