Last Day To Register For Scarecrows On Parade Is Friday

Residents can enter for a chance to win a $250 Visa gift card.

MANHATTAN, IL — Halloween season is quickly approaching, and that means Scarecrows on Parade is set to return to Manhattan from Oct. 18-31, according to a post on the Village's website. Residents, organizations and businesses can make their own scarecrows and have them on display along U.S. Route 52.

Scarecrow frames are provided for free by the Village and can be picked up at Village Hall at 260 Market Place. Registration is required to participate and is open until Friday.

Participants will need to drop off their completed scarecrows at Village Hall no later than Friday.

At stake will be a first-place prize of a $250 Visa gift card, and a $150 Visa gift card for second place.

Winners will be announced Oct. 22
