'Shameful': Police Chief on Illinois Legalizing Pot
Manhattan Police Chief Joseph Wazny only has one word to describe lawmakers looking to legalize pot in Illinois.

MANHATTAN, IL - Illinois lawmakers have planted the seeds to become one of the next states to legalize the recreational use of marijuana, but apparently not everyone is on board with the idea.
Especially not everyone in law enforcement. Count Manhattan Police Chief Joseph Wazny among them.
Wazny, an active Twitter user who often shares pertinent news and information pertinent to Manhattan citizens and those throughout Will County, did not need 140 characters to share how he felt about a WGN news article on Illinois lawmakers indicating the state will likely legalize the already decriminalized drug that is legal in a handful of other states.

"SHAMEFUL," Wazny wrote around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.
The article he shared indicated that surveys show about two-thirds of Illinois residents support legalizing marijuana and that allowing adults to possess up to 28 grams of marijuana would generate millions of dollars in tax revenue.
