An open house to learn more about St. Joseph Catholic School

St. Joseph Catholic School in Manhattan is holding an Open House on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 275 W. North Street, Manhattan, IL. The Open House is a great opportunity to learn about the school’s educational programs from preschool through 8th grade. The school provides academic excellence within a Catholic environment, while also offering before and after school care, conference athletics, fine arts, and extracurricular activities.

A Catholic education is more affordable than ever. In partnership with the Diocese of Joliet, St. Joseph’s offers a $1,500 Tuition Transfer Grant to any public, private, home school, or charter school student who transfers to the school. Other scholarship and tuition assistance is available as well.

St. Joseph Catholic School offers an academic preschool with both full and half-day programs. For kindergarten, parents also have a choice between full and half -day programs. The full-day kindergarten program includes an academic afternoon with Spanish and hands on science centers. For working parents, St. Joseph School offers affordable before and after school care, run by St. Joseph staff, so the children are cared for by people they know.

The school’s curriculum seizes on technological advances without losing focus on academic skills. St. Joseph graduates are well prepared to compete in high school and beyond.

“Our teachers are highly qualified with excellent credentials. Our small class sizes allow for individualized attention and the opportunity to work hand-and-hand with school families. We also offer fine arts, conference athletic teams, student government and a variety of clubs,” Colleen Domke, St. Joseph’s principal said.
