Village Clerk Has Been On The Job For 25 Years
Manhattan Village Clerk Mattie Becker has held the same position since she was first elected in 1993.

MANHATTAN, IL - Manhattan Village Clerk Mattie Becker recently hit the quarter-century mark for holding her leadership role with the village. The village of Manhattan recognized her achievement in a social media post earlier this week.
Becker was elected to the office on May 4, 1993 and is the longest running village clerk in Manhattan history.
"If you see Mattie around town be sure to congratulate her for her achievement," the Facebook post read, followed by loads of congratulatory messages.
