Welcome Bags Available For New Manhattan Residents

MANHATTAN, IL - New residents of Manhattan will receive a welcome bag compliments of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce. Anyone who just moved into the village should stop by The Village of Manhattan, 260 Market Place when setting up a water account to pick up the bags, which include a number of items including a list of local businesses and phone numbers, flyers, menus, magnets, pens, pencils, koozies, coupons, pet pill dispensers, an Ace Hardware red shopping bag and water bottles.

The items in the bag are expected to change by the month depending on what local businesses decide to place in the bag, according to a spokeswoman from the Chamber.

"It is our way of welcoming you to Manhattan and introducing you to the services offered by our members," the Chamber wrote on its Facebook page.
