MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Lilly, who is available for adoption at the humane society.

The society said Lilly is a 5-year-old female brown tabby domestic short hair. She was found as a stray outdoors and brought into the rescue. She has decided she prefers the indoor life much more and is enjoying all the attention she is receiving.

According to the society, she starts to melt when petted and will roll on her back for belly rubs. During quiet times, she loves to hide in her cubby bed and watch the world go by around her. She will make a wonderful pet and companion.
