MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Mew, who is available for adoption at the humane society.
Mew is a 1-year-old male domestic long hair cat. The society said he was dumped at a cat colony and was saved by some rescuers from the frigid winter weather.
When he first came into the rescue, he was nervous and would hide at the top of his kitty condo. Although he was always gentle and sweet, he was very unsure of his new situation. Now, the society said Mew has realized that people can be trusted and loving. He enjoys a gentle touch and give head butts for attention.
