Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Princess

MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Princess, who is available for adoption at the humane society.

The society said Princess is a beautiful shepherd/hound mix who is about three years old. She was adopted from NAWS last summer after waiting a long time to find her perfect home. However, her new dad passed away unexpectedly and she is back at the rescue.

Princess thrived in a home and adored her owner, so she is now heartbroken. The society said she is a sweet, gentle girl that has become a staff favorite because of her affectionate nature and little kisses. She is housebroken and also knows sit and paw.
