MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Scrappy, who is available for adoption at the humane society.
The society said Scrappy is a friendly hound mix with an energetic personality that was rescued from a high kill shelter in Tennessee. He is about 2 years old, and has a lovely brindle coat.
Scrappy loves everyone he meets, including other dogs. He is a very affectionate and will crawl into your lap to cuddle and give big kisses. He is a really good dog and would make a wonderful addition to any family, the society said.

NAWS Humane Society of Illinois is located at 9981 W. 190th St., Suite A, in Mokena. The society is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
