Sugar is a 2-year-old female black Lab mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter in Tennessee.
MOKENA, IL — For those looking to adopt a pet, a great place to look for your new family member is at NAWS Humane Society of Illinois. This week's 'Adoptable Pet' is Sugar, who is available for adoption at the humane society.
The society said Sugar is a 2-year-old female black Lab mix who was rescued from a high kill shelter in Tennessee. She is a people person and loves to greet everyone she meets at the rescue.
Sugar will give kisses and lean against people to get as close to them as possible. The society said she is a very strong girl that has a lot of energy and likes to play. She loves being outside and enjoys going for walks. She has been around other dogs and gets along with them.

NAWS Humane Society of Illinois is located at 9981 W. 190th St., Suite A, in Mokena. The society is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.
