Advocate Hospital, Cancer Support Center Invite Survivors to Join Women's Group
Advocate South Suburban Hospital joins the Cancer Support Center in an effort to support and empower women.
Advocate South Suburban Hospital and The Cancer Support Center are teaming up to present A Monthly Women’s Support Group starting on May 5, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Advocate South Suburban Hospital,17800 Kedzie Ave. in Hazel Crest.
The free group is open to female cancer survivors. All women with a cancer diagnosis are welcome to join Advocate South Suburban Hospital’s Radiation Oncologist, Elke Aippersbach, MD on May 5th, for a special presentation on women’s health. Register by calling The Cancer Support Center at (708) 798-9171.
This group will serve as a space where women with cancer can build a network with other women with cancer. Facilitated by Melissa Strick, LCPC, Clinical Therapist at The Cancer Support Center.

Advocate South Suburban Hospital and The Cancer Support Center partner together to offer psycho-social supports to cancer patients before, during, and after cancer treatment. These supplemental services are offered to patients and their caregivers to ensure that cancer patients are connected to clinical supportive services throughout their cancer journey, both while at the medical facility receiving treatment as well as afterward.
