American Heart Association Recognizes Mokena Elementary

MES students, staff, and teachers raised $25,000 during Jump Rope for Heart in February.

Mokena Elementary School principal, Anna Kirchner, received this letter of gratitude from the American Heart Association for the school's participation in Jump Rope for Heart.

We at the American Heart Association are bursting with gratitude for the students, staff, parents and donors from Mokena Elementary School who participated in Jump Rope for Heart in February.

We put our lifesaving mission in your hands and you answered the call bigger and bolder than we ever imagined – collecting over $25,000 to help children with sick hearts! Your impact to help families fighting heart disease in our community is profound and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Special congratulations goes to Stephen Hippleheuser who led the program and provided a meaningful and memorable community service project for students. We are thrilled to be able to provide Mokena Elementary School with additional PE Equipment in appreciation of their efforts.

Mokena School District staff are so excited about the giving hearts that our students, parents, and staff have. We can't wait to have new PE equipment at MES for our students in the fall!
