Arbury Hills Students Learn To Code
First through fourth graders at the Mokena elementary school participated in the "Hour of Code."

MOKENA, IL - Students at Arbury Hills Elementary School in Mokena recently learned coding basics during the national "Hour of Code." Students in grades one thru four were able to learn that "computer science is fun and easy at their age," Arbury Hills Principal Francie Boss said.
First and second grade students began programming code for maze activities related to Ice Age, Angry Birds and Star Wars activities.
Favorite programming activities for third and fourth grade students included Dance Party, The Grinch: Saving Christmas with Code, Minecraft and other Star Wars activities.

"The students loved being engaged in the computer science problem solving activities," Boss said.
