Kids' Party Facility, New Subdivision On Mokena Agenda

At its work session on Jan. 18, the Mokena Village Board will discuss several pending developments in the village.

MOKENA, IL — At its Jan. 18 village board work session, the Mokena Village Board will discuss several pending developments, including a planned unit development for Trestle Ridge and a special use permit for Fortress Royalty.

The agenda items for the work session are:

  • Discussion of special use permit for Fortress Royalty, 9700 W. 197th St., Suit 101 (indoor commercial recreation). According to board meeting minutes, the development was last discussed at a work session on Oct. 19. Fortress Royalty Parties has requested a special use permit to operate a children's party facility in the multi-tenant industrial building at 9700 W. 197th St in the Normal Industrial Park. According to board documents, a special use permit is required for indoor recreation facilities in the I-1, light industrial district.
  • First concept review of Trestle Ridge, a single-family home subdivision that will be an addition to the area of the Bridges neighborhood at Owens Road and Long Bridge Drive.
  • Concept review for a special use permit in the Rose Plaza to allow Bell Tire, a motor vehicle service repair facility.
