Bulls-Eye--Drunken Mokena Teen Hits New Lenox Target With Car: Cops

A drunken Mokena teen crashed his car into the front doors of the New Lenox Target, police said.

The 17-year-old was charged with driving under the influence, criminal damage to property and the illegal possession of alcohol by a minor in connection with the late Friday night accident at the East Lincoln Highway superstore.

Just before midnight, police said, an “officer was dispatched to the Target reference to a complaint of a vehicle that drove into the entrance doors,” police said.

Someone informed the officer the teen had crashed “into the entrance doors causing damage,” police said. The officer then figured out the teen was “under the influence and was in possession of alcohol.”
