Burger King Coming To 191st Street In Mokena

Mokena trustees approved a request from Burger King to re-size two lots in the Meridian Centre commercial development.

MOKENA, IL - A Burger King is on its way to Mokena after village trustees approved a request to re-subdivide two lots in the Meridian Centre commercial development. The restaurant chain plans to open a dual drive-thru site at 9647 W. 191st St., according to a village of Mokena e-mail newsletter.

Warren Johnson Architects requested to resize lots 9 and 10 Meridian Centre to better suit Burger King's need in the now unoccupied space. Burger King will take up the now smaller lot 9 after trustees voted to approve the request.

The Burger King property will take up 2,866 square feet and join Chipotle, Starbucks, Which Wich, Smoothie King and Crafted Bottle Shop in the Meridian Centre at the southwest corner of 191st and La Grange Road.
