If you haven’t met us yet, allow us to introduce ourselves. We are Mokena Miracles, a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization established in 2017 by Mokena first responders and residents. Our goal is to assist Mokena families in times of need, who are facing a difficult challenge or hard time, so that they may have a happy holiday season.

If you are aware of a Mokena family who may benefit from Mokena Miracles’ assistance, we encourage you to tell us their story. We may be able to give that family a happier holiday season, through gifts for the whole family and financial assistance to lighten their burden in some way.

It's the family of a sick child, where one parent now has to stay home to care for them, and money is a little tight, and hope is hard to find. It’s the newly single parent, who is trying to keep everything together for the kids, but doesn’t know how they are going to do it. It’s the elderly couple down the street who doesn’t have family close by to help, and all they are asking for is a new mattress to rest on after cancer treatments.
These are the stories we’ve heard and helped in the past. It might not seem like much to you and me, but it means the world to these families to get that boost, and to know that people care enough to help get them back on their feet.

But Mokena Miracles is more than just Christmas presents. Since we began, we have paid rent and mortgage payments; funded repairs to family vehicles; covered home repairs for everyday functions; provided fuel and grocery gift assistance; satisfied outstanding medical bills; and much more!
