Chevy Abandoned By Man Who Struck Ford In Steakhouse Parking Lot
Mokena police arrested a man they say abandoned his vehicle in a parking lot after damaging another car in the lot.

MOKENA, IL - The driver of a Chevy was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and operating an uninsured motor vehicle hours after an alleged hit-and-run in the parking lot of Jenny's Steakhouse, 10160 W. 191st St. last weekend.
Mokena police charged Nicholas A. Youngblood, 36, of Midlothian with the offenses. They allege in a police report that Youngblood hit a parked Ford Edge SUV around 1:11 a.m. in the steakhouse parking lot and left the vehicle with another man after realizing it was not driveable.
The owner of the Ford was inside the bar at the steakhouse when he was alerted by other patrons that his car had been hit and that two white men fled the area behind the business. The Chevy, which apparently struck a curb before the Ford, was left at the scene.

The Chevy was towed from the scene, and police were led to Youngblood after tracking him down through the Midlothian Police Department as the owner of the vehicle. A police report says that Youngblood said something to the effect of him not wanting to involve police at the time of the crash because he "did not want to deal with the police in the state he was in."
A witness, who was in Youngblood's vehicle at the time, confirmed the version of events.
