Ciarlette and Robbins L.L.P. of Mokena Golf Outing is "Fore" a Good Cause

On September 9, 2022, at Green Garden Country Club in Frankfort, the Ciarlette and Robbins LLP Accounting Firm held its annual Golf Outing and benefitted the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation (POTCF). The event included breakfast, lunch and dinner for over 40 golfers who enjoyed an exciting day of golf and tons of fun for all. When the last golf cart had rolled in, the Ciarlette and Robbins L.L.P. accounting firm had raised $235 in gift cards and collected an impressive number of toys for children and teens fighting cancer.
“I love whatever I can do to help the Treasure Chest Foundation,” said Office Manager and Golf Outing Chair Jaime McCracken. “I love everything about the Treasure Chest Foundation, and I wanted to help out again. The charity needs toys all year long, not just during the holidays.”
Treasure Chest Foundation CEO and Founder Colleen Kisel said, “We feel so grateful to have the support of Ciarlette and Robbins L.L.P. accounting firm. Their donation will help to benefit the children and teens who endure years and years of unending cancer treatments by rewarding the kids with a toy, gift or gift card after every procedure.”

The POTCF is a unique organization whose services impact more than 15,700 young cancer patients in 65 cancer treatment centers in 21 states across the nation and in the District of Columbia. Nowhere else in the nation does such a program exist. Colleen Kisel founded the organization in 1996 after her then seven-year-old son Martin had been diagnosed with leukemia in 1993. Ms. Kisel discovered that giving her son a toy after each procedure provided a calming distraction from his pain, noting that when children are diagnosed with cancer their world soon becomes filled with doctors, nurses, chemotherapy drugs, surgeries and seemingly endless painful procedures. Martin celebrated his 29th anniversary of remission from the disease in March of this year.
