Mokena Police Chief Steve Vaccaro told Patch that Fenn's sexual assault charges stemmed from an ongoing investigation that began last year. During the entire time, Fenn was being incarcerated for an unrelated crime, Vaccaro said. Last year, Fenn was charged with DUI involving a hit and run crash that left a 20-year-old man seriously injured at the time.
According to Vaccaro, the alleged sexual assaults involving Fenn occurred at a residence along Wolf Road. At the time, Fenn was 21, and the girl he is accused of raping was 16.
