Doc's Smokehouse Classroom Will Teach Southern Cooking

Attendees of Doc's Smokehouse Classroom will learn how to process, rub and smoke meats in the Southern tradition and enjoy a full buffet.

MOKENA, IL - Doc's Smokehouse in Mokena is holding a "Smokehouse Classroom" event in which they will show participants how to cook in the Southern tradition. Barbecue enthusiasts (and non-Barbecue enthusiasts) are invited to be in the class from noon to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28. The cost is $50 per person.

The class will offer "a rare and exclusive classroom experience" as attendees will learn how to process, rub and smoke meats in the Southern tradition. There will also be a full tour of Doc's smoker room and a Q&A session with their corporate chefs.

The experience comes with a full buffet of house-made sides and smoked meats. Attendees will also receive a Doc's Gift Pack starter of rubs, sauces and pickles.
