Employees Accused Of Stealing From Meijer
Mokena police arrested two employees at Meijer in separate incidents of alleged thefts.

MOKENA, IL - A loss prevention employee at the Meijer store in Mokena called police twice in a three-day span earlier this month to report employees of his who were allegedly caught stealing.
On Sept. 2, a 24-year-old man from Richton Park was charged with retail theft at 3:30 a.m. at the store. Police said the loss prevention employee told them the employee would take small store items like batteries and deodorant to the self-checkout aisle, pretend to pay and exit the store.
Two days later, on Sept. 4, the same loss prevention employee told police it was another employee - this time a 32-year-old woman from Richton Park - who stole a set of earbuds. The woman is alleged to have taken the earbuds home and returned them the following day saying she wanted to pay for them.
