Lincoln-Way East Orchesis Troupe Prepares for Valentine-Themed Performance

Love is in the air as dance students at Lincoln-Way East High School prepare for a Valentine-themed performance Feb. 11 and 12 at the school.

“With Valentine’s weekend approaching, it seems fitting to design a show around love songs,” said Julie Widinski, the Orchesis director at Lincoln-Way East.

Students have decided to title their performance “Love Me, Love Me Not” and plan to choreograph dances around love songs from the past 60 years. Patrons will be treated to a spectrum of dance styles, including ballet, tap, hip-hop and ecstatic.
