Lincoln-Way East Students to Perform "Anything Goes"

Set sail with Lincoln-Way East High School’s music department April 14-16 as students proudly present their spring musical, Cole Porter’s classic Anything Goes.

“The students are really enjoying getting to learn some of the standards of the American songbook that many people already know and love like I Get a Kick Out of You or You're the Top!,” said  choral director Alysia Lambert. “I am sure the audiences will love the great jazz stylings of Cole Porter.”

The musical is set aboard the S.S. American as it carries an unusual group of passengers from New York to England. Among those on board are a gangster, a wealthy debutante and her mother, a nightclub singer, and a wealthy New York businessman and his stowaway assistants. The sailing provides an evening of laughter and great music by Cole Porter.
