Mokena Chamber Christmas Fest

Events include:

Lunch and Pictures with Santa from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children. Pictures are $3.

Santa's Workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Your child can join Santa's workshop and create Christmas decorations, write letters to Santa and more while you start your Christmas shopping with our local crafters. Please bring mittens, hats and scarves for the Mitten Bin to be donated to local families in need.

Open house for several Front Street businesses from noon to 6 p.m. Many merchants will provide free activities for the children as well as refreshments. There will be a hayride available from the school to Front Street. Merchants also will be collecting food donations for the local Food Pantry from Nov. 15 through Dec. 15.

Village Tree Decorating from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the corner of Front and Mokena streets (northeast end of Metra lot). Everyone's invited to create their own decorations to proudly hang on the tree.

Hot chocolate and cookies from 4:45 p.m. until end of parade at State Bank of Illinois, 11100 Front St.

Parade of Lights at 5 p.m. on Front Street in Downtown Mokena. To be followed immeditely by the Tree Lighting Ceremony and  Caroling at the corner of Front and Mokena streets (northeast end of Metra lot).

Family Christmas Dance immediately following Tree Lighting until 10 p.m. at the Mokena VFW Post 725, 19852 S. Wolf Road. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for kids and kids under 2 free. Pizza provided by Nancy's Italian Eatery.
