'Every 21 Seconds' Will Be Filmed in Mokena This Spring
The film version of Mokena resident Brian Sweeney's book about brain injuries will take place in Will County.

MOKENA, IL - A film about brain injuries will be filmed this spring at various locations in Will County including some in Mokena, the hometown of the author who wrote the book on which it is based. The filming of “Every 21 Seconds” will begin on May 4 at the Will County Courthouse and other county locations in Mokena and New Lenox, according to a story from My Suburban Life. The movie is based on a book by the same name written by Brian Sweeney.
Sweeney, a Mokena man, suffered a severe brain injury and wrote the book while recovering. Its title refers to how often someone suffers a brain injury.
