Family Searching for Therapy Dog Lost in Area
Help bring Janet Gwynne's Bernese Mountain dog back safely to Brookside Glen in Tinley Park.

A Tinley Park woman is heartbroken after her 7-month-old Bernese Mountain Dog, who she hopes to train to become a therapy dog for her daughter, ran off Thursday morning.
Janet Gwynne is asking for the community’s help in bringing home Coco Chanel, who was startled by another dog and ran off, leash still attached, from Gwynne’s home in Brookside Glen. Coco was imported from Europe just two weeks ago and knows limited English for commands. The last sighting was reported near LaPorte and 88th Avenue.
Gwnne intends for Coco to become a therapy dog for her daughter who suffers severe anxiety. She is offering a $1,500 reward for the dog’s safe return.

“I’ve walked every forest I can possibly find,” she said. “We haven’t stopped since 7 a.m. I am devastated.”
Coco is microchipped on the left side of her neck. She is wearing a brown collar with paws on it, with tags and leash attached.

Gwynne asks that people not chase or try to catch Coco, as it could scare her off. Instead, call Gwynne at 708-516-7629.
