Fireworks, Food Trucks, Live Music: Mokena's July 3 Celebration & Food Truck Fest Set
The free event will be held at Main Park on Friday, July 3. It will feature food trucks, live music, and fireworks.
MOKENA, IL — The Village of Mokena and the Mokena Community Park District invite the community to the expanded July 3 festival at Main Park, 10925 W. LaPorte Rd.
The event opens at 4 p.m., with free kids games and inflatables.
The Food Truck Fest opens at 4:30 p.m., running until 10:30 p.m. The Food Trucks will be located at the south side of the park, behind the stage.

The entertainment will kick off at 5 p.m. with the Encore Concert Band. The Encore Concert Band are comprised of community members who enjoy playing quality orchestra music together, fostering a greater appreciation for music and providing entertainment at the highest level.
Michael Darnell, Magician will take the Main Stage at 6:30 p.m. Experience this hilarious, interactive performance with fun-filled surprises, and audience participation. Kids don’t just watch the magic, they help make it happen, the Village said.
Dick Diamond and the Dusters, a lively six-member band known for giving audiences a theatrical experience complete with costumes, whimsical characters and audience engagement will perform starting at 7:30 p.m. Their repertoire includes everything from the '60s through today. They'll play until the fireworks at approximately 9:30 p.m. They'll pick back up after the fireworks, playing from 10 to 10:45 p.m.

The event also precedes the Mokena Chamber of Commerce's July 4 Parade. The parade steps off at 10 a.m., at Wolf Rd. and LaPorte, traveling north to Granite Drive. More info here.
