Four Will County Businesses Fail Compliance Checks: Sheriff

21 compliance checks were conducted, and four businesses failed the check by selling alcohol to minors.

WILL COUNTY, IL — Since April is Alcohol Awareness Month, the Will County Sheriff's Office conducted several alcohol sales compliance checks throughout the county. Compliance checks were conducted on April 5 and April 20 with youth participants in the unincorporated areas of Will County, the sheriff's office said.

21 compliance checks were conducted, and four businesses failed the check by selling alcohol to minors. According to the sheriff's office, businesses that failed the check were:

  • Circle K, 12819 W. 143rd St., Homer Glen
  • Homer Liquors,13011 W. 143rd St., Homer Glen
  • Speedway, 12007 W. 159th St., Homer Glen
  • New Lenox Food & Liquors, 13410 Route 6, Mokena

The sheriff's office said this initiative reminds retail storeowners and their employees that it is illegal to sell alcohol to minors.
