Free Concert By German Youth Music Group In Mokena

MOKENA, IL -- The musical group that just recently arrived in the Lincoln-Way area from Germany will play a free concert in Mokena on Thursday night. The concert will be among the first events for the Markgrafler Gymnasium's Oberstufenchor And Big Band from Mullheim, Germany as they make their sixth appearance in the area since 2000.

The public is invited to hear them at the event, described in a flyer as a gospel and jazz concert, at 7 p.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ in the Community Center at 11100 2nd St. in Mokena.

The Mokena Community Affairs Commission is hosting the event that will feature the musical group that is participating in a series of international educational trips through a program at the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp.
