The Mokena Community Park District is pleased to announce that we have been awarded an OSLAD (Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development) grant in the sum of $400,000 dollars for the development of Prairie Ridge Park. Executive Director Jim Romanek attended an announcement ceremony on Saturday, April 5, 2014 in LaGrange Park, where Illinois Governor Pat Quinn awarded 46 grants totaling 16.5 million. Jim is shown in the picture accepting congratulations from Governor Quinn.
