Halloween Mayhem At Mokena's Main Park: Haunted Trail Volunteers Still Sought, Vendor Spots Remain

MOKENA, IL — The Mokena Park District invites families to enjoy three free events to get into the spooky spirit ahead of Halloween.

Halloween Mayhem is set for Saturday, Oct. 24 from 12 to 3 p.m., and features a haunted trail, market with themed treats, and a trunk or treat. All fun takes place at Main Park, 10925 W. La Porte Rd.

Be brave and see if you can make it around the Haunted Trail, featuring spooky scenes set in the grove. Anyone interested in creating a scene or volunteering to spook some people can contact Kara Bartnik at kbartnik@mokenapark.com.

On the other side, a Monster Market awaits, where vendors will be selling Halloween treats and goodies. Do you make Halloween or fall-related items? Are you a spooky vendor? Come show off all your creative items at the market. All vendors will be under the Pavilion at Main Park. Vendor fee is $30 for a 10-by-10 space. Those interested in becoming a vendor can contact Bartnik at kbartnik@mokenapark.com.

The park district still seeks people to decorate their trunks and pass out goodies in the Trunk or Treat. It is free to participate.

For questions about participating in any of the events, please contact Kara Bartnik at kbartnik@mokenapark.com.
