Help the Mokena Burros Win $2,500

The Mokena Youth Athletic Association (Mokena Burros) is asking for your help to earn one of ten $2,500 grants from the Liberty Mutual Insurance Play Positive Pledge. The Play Positive Pledge is part of the Liberty Mutual Insurance Play Positive program which is an ongoing effort championing and celebrating sportsmanship in youth sports. This community based program offers meaningful, easy-to-use educational resources for youth sports parents and coaches.

“The Liberty Mutual Insurance Play Positive program targets many of the issues we see happening at youth sporting events by shining a positive light on what it means to be a positive coach and a positive sport parent. Beyond that, Liberty Mutual is supporting local organizations like the Mokena Burros to offset the costs of providing a valuable youth sports experience,” said Julie Brassard, marketing director at Liberty Mutual Insurance.

The Play Positive program, including the Pledge, comes at a crucial time for communities like ours. Like other communities across the U.S., our own youth sports programs are under pressure from increasing equipment and operations costs. The Play Positive program provides access to valuable resources and assets that can ensure our organizations thrive even under challenging circumstances.

The Mokena Burros are asking individual community members to take the Pledge to promote sportsmanship. Each Pledge that is completed earns a point for our team. The top five organizations that earn the most points by October 15 in each division will earn one of the ten $2,500 grants.

The Mokena Youth Athletic Association (Mokena Burros) is a non-profit organization formed to provide area youth with the opportunity to participate in football and cheerleading.
