Help Plan Mokena's Future At Park District's Master Plan Meeting

Community input is sought for the Mokena Community Park District's Master Plan.

MOKENA, IL - Community input is sought for a Comprehensive Parks & Recreation Master Plan in the development stages by the Mokena Community Park District. A June 14 meeting in the Walnut Room of the Oaks Recreation & Fitness Center, 10847 W. La Porte Road in Mokena at 6 p.m. will allow interested residents to share their desires for the Park District's future.

When developed, the Master Plan will "provide insight and direction" on how the Park District proceeds on future projects. Design Perspectives, Inc. is leading the master plan project with the goal of soliciting public input from different sectors of the community, according to the Park District.

The primary purpose of the meeting is "to learn everything and anything residents would like to share about the Park District," according to a news release.
