Here to help the Chronic Pain community

My name is Debbie Nunez and I am the founder/President of a new organization that I would like to bring to your attention. Its name is Chicagoland Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain Organization. Last year after I held my very first walk at the walk at the Hickory Creek Forest Preserve. I had time to sit down and re-evaluate my life and after doing so. I decided that I needed to reach out to the community. So with the little bit of money, I created a website and the organization was born. I hooked up the support group to the organization and decided that I had to do more than just that. So I spoke to some of the people in the community and found that some people just were not happy at all with their current health care. I then began a new long list of people and their doctors. I got them separated and connected with a "Pain Compassionate Physician" that I had personally vetted. I now have a list of doctors that is only 25 strong but I know the doctors are GOOD. They will not hurt the patients or make them feel insignificant or worthless.

I am writing this today to inform you that the organization is still running but it is not easy. But it is the soul purpose in my life. I continue to fight every day for every person that needs my help. I find them doctors. I find them walkers, canes, crutches, or whatever they need to help them walk. I get them the mental help they need. Or if we see someone going off the deep end in the chat, one of my advisers is ALWAYS in on all chats and watches out for any signs of suicide. We then will immediately speak to the person in order to make sure they will not go off the deep end and if we are not convinced, one of us will go to their home, or call the authorities in order to save their life. We will not lose another life to this illness. Not on my watch.

There is a documentary out on Netflix called Unrest. If you ever get a chance to see it, please do. It will explain one of the illnesses that some of us have. Not all but some of us have some of it. It makes me just a little bit more happy that I live in the USA.

They have got about 50% of my support group going to their clinic now because they are just that amazing. I am thrilled by the standards they uphold and the doctor has over 15 years in Emergency medicine from Northwestern along with the nurse. They both decided it was time to take the health care of the people and stand up to the current system and stand up for what they believe in. I am thrilled with these two. I cannot believe how much wonderful work these two have done just in the past month alone and I will continue to pull for them. Links for my website and for the doctor will be provided.
