The founder of the Iraqi Christian Relief Council will visit Saint Mary church to raise awareness of Christian persecutions in Iraq

Humanitarian activist Juliana Taimoorazy, founder and president of the Iraqi Christian Relief Council, will visit Saint Mary Parish in Mokena on June 27th to speak about the religious and ethnic cleansing being inflicted on Christians in Iraq by terror groups like ISIS.
A native of Iran and an Assyrian Christian, Taimoorazy moved to the United States as a refugee in 1990 to escape religious persecution in her home country.
After earning her Master’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University in 2000, Taimoorazy founded the Iraqi Christian Relief Council in 2006, an organization dedicated to providing desperately needed food, shelter and medicine to thousands of displaced Christians throughout Iraq.
