Indoor Go-Kart Track Opening Soon In Mokena
Accelerate Indoor Speedway is constructing its first Illinois location near 88th Avenue and 191st Street in Mokena.
MOKENA, IL -- Mokena will soon be home to an indoor go-kart track. Accelerate Indoor Speedway is on track to open their first Illinois raceway near 88th Avenue and 191st Street in October, according to a report from the Daily Southtown.
General Manager James Galdikas told the Southtown that there will be two grand prix-style indoor tracks at 8580 Springlake Drive. The venue will take up about 75,000 square feet and have 45 adult carts and 16 junior carts.
The electric carts that will be powered partly by solar energy are "clean and emit no fumes," Galdikas said.

Accelerate, which has 11 locations on the East Coast, will also have a bar & grill and gaming area at the venue in Mokena.
