Lincoln-Way East student Elliott Adams won the local Frankfort Chamber of Commerce Fall Fest poster competition. His artwork was selected to advertise and promote the popular fest. This year’s theme is “What’s Cooking Frankfort!”

“Elliott is an extremely talented artist and I’m so proud that his work will receive such tremendous exposure as this year’s Fall Fest poster,” said Phil Labriola, Lincoln-Way Art Department Chair. “It’s a special community recognition and his poster will certainly be seen by the hundreds of thousands of people who come out each year for Fall Fest.”

Frankfort Fall Fest Chair Don Olivieri recognized Adams for his winning artwork at Frankfort’s Concert on the Green event June 21. Approximately 20 pieces of artwork were submitted in the competition.

“I had the privilege of being on the jury to review the pieces of art that were submitted by the high school art students,” Olivieri said. “There were many great pieces so it was not easy, but we love Elliott’s piece.”

“Since 2009 the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Lincoln Way High Schools to host the Frankfort Fall Festival Poster Contest,” said Chamber Executive Director Karen Blake. “It is always exciting to see the creative interpretations the students come up with to embody the theme each year.”
