A beloved member of the Mokena community has died.
John J. Capodice, a longtime coach of Mokena little league, Mokena Burros football, and Stingers wrestling, died March 5 at the age of 68.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 10 from 2 to 9 p.m., at Vandenberg Funeral Home, 19604 S. Wolf Rd. in Mokena. Funeral service is planned for Wednesday, March 11 at 10 a.m.

Capodice is survived by his wife Lisa, and children John, Brian, Julie Iorii, Tony, Tim Jones, Curt Jones, Peter Jones and Carrie Jones.
In lieu of flowers, family encourages donations to a charity of your choice in Capodice’s name.
