Man Hospitalized After Weekend Crash

are still investigating why a driver crossed two lanes of traffic, smashing into an oncoming vehicle at 191st Street and Wolf Road on Saturday afternoon.

At about 3:11 p.m. Saturday, a car driven by a 45-year-old man was heading west on 191st Street near Wolf Road in the inside lane of traffic, Mokena Police Cmdr. Dan Rankovich said. The car then crossed the center line, entering oncoming traffic and striking an eastbound car in the outside lane.

Both drivers were taken to , Rankovich said. The 45-year-old man whose car crossed into oncoming traffic was released Sunday night, he said.

The other driver, a 60-year-old man, was still in the hospital as of Monday.

Names were not immediately available. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
