Prenatal University and OMG Women’s Healthcare will present a Mini Medical School for young girls, grades 3 - 5, with an interest in medicine and science on May 3, 2014, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This exciting and educational event will introduce the possibilities of a profession in medicine and the sciences through experience with real medical equipment and certified advanced practice nurses. The program will take place at OMG’s Hinsdale office at 950 N. York Road, Suite 102, Hinsdale, Ill. Certified Nurse Midwives and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners will attend as supervisors, along with other OMGWH employees and specialists. Microscopes, stethoscopes, and ultrasound technology are just some of the materials that will be discussed and utilized. Crafts and information sessions will also be a part of the experience.
Parents will have the option to drop off their children or wait in our waiting room. Refreshments will be provided for adults as well as healthy snacks for the children.
